The operational program for competivenes has been announced
within the 3rd EU support framework. The project is financed by the European
Union and the Greek Government and aims at the development of the competivenes
of small and very small enterprises. This can be achieved through the
finance of business plans for technological upgrade, innovation promotion,
product quality improvement and environmental performance improvement.
In order to satisfy the eligibility criteria an enterprise must be independent,
operate within the Greek dominion since 1-1-1998, or earlier, employ no
more than 50 persons, and have mean annual turnover between 73,367 and
7,000,000 Euros for the last three years. The total budget of the business
plan must be between 58,800 and 441,000 Euros. Proposals selected for
finance will be financed in a percentage that will be no more than 40%
of the total business plan budget.
